Tonight, as I was praying with my wife, I realized that so often we thank our Father in Heaven for everyone around us. But how often do we thank Him for ourselves. For the opportunity we have to live upon this earth. For our spirit selves and that we exist to be born to earth. I am so grateful for who I am and the fact that I live. And I pray always that I will yet live into the eternities, to dwell with my Father in Heaven with all those who have gone before and those who will go after.

Sacrifice

Sometimes the Lord asks more of us than we think we have to give. Does that mean He knows something about us we do not, and that there is something we will learn through that experience we have yet to learn? I believe so.

Christ spent His entire ministry in the service of others. In fact, His whole life. When He was a young man, His parents thinking they lost Him, He was found teaching in the Temple men who were older than He. He was serving them, for they were astonished at the wisdom and learning He had. He healed the sick, made the blind to see, the lame to walk, the deaf to hear. But His greatest service was the atonement. The great pain and suffering He was willing to bear for us all. Even for those who would deny His Holy Mission. He followed the greatest two commandments of Love the Lord thy God with all they Heart Might Mind and strength, and love thy neighbor as thyself. Constantly giving and loving. He gave us the perfect example. Go, and do thou likewise.

Is nothing sacred?

There are those who would belittle our beliefs. To us, our beliefs are sacred. We must always stand and act as we know we should. Those who seek to mock us seek to attack our human errors. Forgive them, but stand strong. Why would the Church care if a man has put a picture of the Angel Moroni on a t-shirt drinking coffee? It is a mockery of a sacred symbol of our beliefs.

Followers of Christ

So often I believe it is so difficult for us to step outside of our comfort zone
and stand for truth and righteousness. Whether it be to help someone in
distress, or merely to tell a friend of the gospel. I think we at times fear a
backlash from those we love or from those with whom we are less well
acquainted. But the Lord has stated that He will bless us at that very
moment to know what we should say, and He will not leave us
comfortless. Stand strong and faithful, but not overbearing. Do so always
out of love, as the Savior Himself did. The Lord will bless you.

This site is dedicated to my thoughts and feelings of inspiration. I have always wished to express myself in a more fulfilling way, and feel that is a constructive outlet for just such a desire. I hope and pray that my thoughts can inspire other's to keep such a journal.

What is true serenity?

It is serenity amongst all things in life. It is to know, to have and to show faith in the God of Heaven and Earth, and in His Son, even the Lord Jesus Christ. It is to have the constant companionship of the Holy Spirit, to keep all the commandments, and know that when we fall short, and we will, that the Savior is there to succor His people, to lift them up and show mercy through all of life's trials. That, to me, is true serenity.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
